These terms describe permitted use of the English and Spanish budget spreadsheets provided by My Family My Money. The files are free to download without an email signup. Last updated: October 5, 2026.
Personal and educational use
You may save, copy, print, and adapt a spreadsheet for your own household budget. Teachers and community organizations may use it without charge in noncommercial financial education. Keep our website attribution and these terms available when sharing an original copy. Linking to the download page is preferred so others receive the current version.
Resale and redistribution
Do not sell the spreadsheet, include it in a paid product, remove attribution from a copy you distribute, or present our original work as your own without written permission. Modified copies must be identified as modified and must not imply our endorsement. For commercial use or other licensing questions, email [email protected].
What the spreadsheet calculates
The template covers one month in U.S. dollars and compares planned and actual amounts. It totals the amounts entered and subtracts expenses and new savings from income. Blank numeric input cells count as zero in totals; an incomplete budget may show misleading remaining money. Enter zero for categories that do not apply and review all categories.
Check your entries and changes
Use take-home income and avoid counting payroll deductions, purchases, debt payments, or savings twice. No currency conversion is performed. If you add rows, change formulas, or import the file into another application, check that totals still include the intended cells. Keep an unchanged original and verify important calculations independently.
Limits and availability
This is a planning aid, not an account ledger, cash-flow calendar, tax calculator, debt-payoff model, or financial recommendation. It does not verify your entries or guarantee a financial outcome. We do not guarantee that every spreadsheet application will display or calculate every feature identically. We may revise or discontinue downloads; earlier copies do not update automatically.
Your information
Amounts you enter stay in your file and are not transmitted to our sites. If you save or share the file through another service, its privacy practices apply. Do not include account numbers, passwords, SSNs, ITINs, or other sensitive identifiers. Review your copy before sharing it.
